Environment design from Nick Losq's [The Ferryman](https://vimeo.com/175629486).
Based on the Lone Sloan series of comics by Philippe Druillet. A Starbeast Digital Production.
Nick hired me to knock out some quick environment pieces for this short. Everything was designed and sculpted in ZBrush. After a design was approved I would Zmesher to create a lower polygon model with UV's which I projected the detail back on to. I felt like I was cheating using the automatic tools instead of retopoing by hand, but later I took Environment for Games at Gnomon with Nate Stephens who taught me a similar workflow with decimation master. After learning that set pieces in God of War were done in a similar fashion I didn't feel so bad!
