Visual Development - Chip and the Bark
Chip and the Bark was a pitch being developed by Starburns Industries a few years ago. It's one of my favorite projects that I've worked on. I checked in with the folks over there and it's officially "dead" so here's a peak at some of the work.

I got to work at Starburns during production of Rick and Morty Season 2! I loved meeting the different artists and writers working on that show and this pitch was written by two Rick and Morty writers. So, yep. Pretty cool!

The plan was to 3D print maquettes for the pitch. This was my first pass vreated in ZBrush. The printer that Starburns had did full color (same one used for Anomalisa). They liked the work so I got a chance to do the other characters.

I had hit a stopping point in my work and Joe and James were in meetings all day so I tried doing a quick block out of Mom's laboratory.

Visual Development for an animated show pitch done at Starburns Industries. This was about 5 years ago. I checked in and the pitch is "dead" so here's a chance to see some of the work I did on it. These were going to be 3D printed maquettes to bring to the pitch meeting. The project was a dream for several reason.
A. Working with Joe and James was great. Two incredibly cool guys who I like very much.
B. I worked in the offices at Starburns during the production of Rick and Morty season 2. I can verify that I have pooped on the same toilet as Dan Harmon (not at the same time).
C. Eric Acosta and Wade Randolph were writers attached to it. They have credit for Raising Gazorazorp and Anatomy Park. Two great episodes of Rick and Morty.
