Before I the Chef was finalized I had a meeting with one of the producers and Dino. Dino suggested having the Chef not wearing pants so I gave it a try.
The initial Chef sculpture I did was for Comic Con, so I thought it might be fun to have this guy running around ad did a quick mock up.
Chef Vader! I've gotten a lot of gigs from these guys, so as a thank you I made 8 "Chef Vaders" by 3D printing new hands and heads for the Hasbro 12" Vader figure. I painted 4 and the other 4 are a fake/knock off style.
My first gig at Starburns Industries was a Chef "toy"for Comic Con one year. I've been a big fan of Dan Harmon and Dino Stamatopoulus for a long time and was super stoked to get to work on site. It was during the second season of Rick and Morty so it felt even more magical to be surrounded by that kind of creative energy!
